Cheese Tortellini Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

A comforting casserole combining cheese-stuffed tortellini with the flavors of pepperoni pizza, baked to bubbly, cheesy perfection.

  • 16 ounces Cheese Stuffed Tortellini, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry Italian Seasoning
  • 8 ounces Original Velveeta Cheese, cubed
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheese Blend (including mozzarella)
  • 2 ounces Pepperoni, quartered
  • 1/2 Cup Pizza Sauce
  • Sliced Pepperoni, for topping
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 1 minute or until golden.
  3. Add milk and Italian seasoning; heat until steaming.
  4. Reduce heat and add Velveeta and shredded cheese blend; stir until melted.
  5. Turn off heat; add cooked tortellini and quartered pepperoni; stir for 1 minute.
  6. Transfer mixture to casserole dish.
  7. Dollop pizza sauce on top and swirl gently without fully mixing.
  8. Layer sliced pepperoni on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake uncovered on center rack for 25 minutes.
  10. Broil on high for 3-4 minutes to brown cheese.

Notes

1. Use an Italian cheese blend including mozzarella for best flavor. 2. Adjust pepperoni amount based on preference. 3. Broiling at the end adds a nice golden cheese crust.
