For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms. Chill dough for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, caramel sauce, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Roll dough into small balls, flatten slightly, and place a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center. Fold edges over to seal.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool before serving.
