For the Crust:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Stir in buttermilk until just combined (do not overmix).
- Pour melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Drop biscuit dough by spoonfuls into the butter, gently spreading to cover the dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
