Butter Swim Biscuits

Fluffy, buttery biscuits that bake in a pool of melted butter for a rich and tender texture.

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Stir in buttermilk until just combined (do not overmix).
  4. Pour melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  5. Drop biscuit dough by spoonfuls into the butter, gently spreading to cover the dish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
