Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Stir in buttermilk until just combined. The dough will be sticky.
  4. Pour melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the butter, spreading slightly to form a single layer.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
