Bunny Buns

Description

Soft and fluffy bunny-shaped rolls perfect for Easter or any springtime gathering.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • Raisins or chocolate chips for decoration

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Heat milk, water, and butter until warm (120-130°F). Add to flour mixture with egg. Beat on low for 30 seconds, then on high for 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in remaining flour to form soft dough. Knead on floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise in warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down dough. Divide into 12 pieces. Shape each into a bunny by forming a round body and adding ears with small dough pieces.
  6. Place on greased baking sheet. Add raisin or chocolate chip eyes. Cover and let rise 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
