For the Crust:

  • 6 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange torn croissant pieces in the prepared dish. Scatter blueberries evenly over the croissants.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing down lightly to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
