For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Combine the cooked macaroni with the beef and tomato sauce mixture. Stir well.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover and let sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
