A hearty and comforting casserole with layers of ground beef, noodles, and cheese.

For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 8 oz wide egg noodles, cooked
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onion, bell pepper, and garlic over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and oregano. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked noodles, followed by half of the beef mixture, half of the sour cream, and half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
