Baked Salmon with Lemon

A simple and flavorful baked salmon recipe featuring fresh lemon juice and herbs, perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the lemon mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lemon juice and do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender. You can also add a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or chives for extra flavor.
