Classic Baked Potato

Description

A simple and delicious baked potato with crispy skin and fluffy interior, perfect as a side or main dish.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Scrub potatoes clean and pat dry.
  2. Pierce potatoes several times with a fork. Rub with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Place potatoes directly on oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes until tender when pierced with a fork.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Slice open each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
  5. Top with butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and chives. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
