Baked Pears with Feta, Honey, and Cranberries

Tender baked pears filled with creamy feta cheese, tart cranberries, and topped with golden honey drizzle for an elegant appetizer or dessert

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  2. Halve the pears and scoop out the cores to create a small well in each half
  3. Place the pears cut-side up in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper
  4. Fill each center with crumbled feta and chopped cranberries
  5. Scatter chopped walnuts on top if desired
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the pears soften and the feta starts to melt
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle generously with honey
  8. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves
  9. Serve warm as an appetizer or light dessert

Notes

This elegant dish combines sweet pears with salty feta for a perfect balance of flavors. The recipe can be prepared in under 40 minutes total. For a vegan version, substitute with vegan feta cheese and maple syrup or agave nectar instead of honey.
