Avocado Mozzarella and Tomato Grilled Cheese

A fresh and gooey grilled cheese sandwich featuring creamy avocado, melty mozzarella cheese, and juicy tomatoes on multigrain bread. Ready in under 10 minutes for a quick, high-flavor comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices multigrain bread
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Butter, for spreading
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on the outside of both bread slices.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place one slice, butter-side down, into the pan.
  4. Layer mozzarella cheese, tomato, and avocado on top of the bread in the pan.
  5. Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
  6. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the pan, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, keep the tomato between the cheese and avocado layers to prevent ingredients from sliding out. Use thick multigrain or sprouted grain bread for sturdier construction. Pairs well with a bowl of soup.
