A hearty and comforting dish featuring seasoned hamburger steak baked with a creamy sauce and topped with cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4-6 oval-shaped patties and place in a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the patties.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, then sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
